THURSDAY night… Stay away from Chris Johnson

Here is a note about the Thursday night from Nathan Zegura, The Fantasy Consultant….. since our show will be on Sunday AM, after the first game.

Chris Johnson (TEN at PIT) – Yes, Johnson scored a TD in his only meeting with the Steelers, but he was held to just 69 yards on the ground. That game was at home and week 1 will be at Pittsburgh, where the defending Super Bowl champs are none too kind to visiting Rbs. On the year, the Steelers had the league’s 2nd ranked run D, allowing just 80 yards per game on the ground and .4 rushing scores per game, also 2nd fewest in the league. At home, they were even tougher. Only 1 RB reached even 65 yards last year and only 2 topped 55 yards. They allowed only 2 rushing TDs all year at home and that is not good news for Johnson, who has to split some carries with LenDale White. Plus, with White taking the GL carries, it means Johnson will need to score from deep against the Steelers and in Pittsburgh, that just does not seem to happen. I know he was a 1st round pick and you’ll get a lot of good games out of him this year, I just would sit him for a Benson, Rice, Bush this week. (Projection Snapshot: 59 yards rushing)

We will preview WHO to start and WHO to sit. Granted, this week will be kinda weird because of the early game Thursday night at Heinz Field. But the rest of the games will be on Sunday- and hopefully, you can set your lineups up until Sunday kick off’s. The BUSTS for this season…

Yo. Last night’s show went great… We covered a ton- and didn’t even get to the BUSTS for this season. You can hear the show right over there —>.

Here are some guys that you wanna stay away from this season.

Busts:

Antonio Bryant- bad attitude- HE even said he expects to be down in production. huh?
Terell Owens – still good- just not AS good in BUF.
Hines Ward- Still good in PPR leagues
Issac Bruce – No way he repeats last year.
Chris Chambers – taking a back seat this year

Deangelo Williams – Tough Schedule. Tandem w. Stewart
Thomas Jones- Another committee situation.
William Parker – RB4 at best this year. Mewelde Moore is stealin his place

QB’s

Eli Manning – No Plax, Toomer.. lot of other options out there for you.
Marc Bulger – bad targets- no T. Holt. Comp % was way down in 2008.

Nate and I just met for the show tomorrow night. He also works with Ashon Kutcher, who is a huge FF player. Nate is headin out to Vegas this weekend for an Expert Superdraft, then gonna hit LA to join Ashton for his online Fantasy Football show Monday night. Here is a link to his show from last week. We have some news coming very soon about our DRAFT CENTRAL specials. We will be live on location on Thursday, August 27th- and Thursday, September 3rd. These will both be from 7-9pm. What is this? Well- it’s a brand new show that I am putting together for the upcoming football season. Some may know, I am a big fantasy sports fan. Currently I am off to a stellar season in Fantasy Baseball. But Fantasy Football is the big deal. I have teamed up with Fantasy EXPERT Nathan Zegura of thefantasyconsultant.com to create “That Fantasy Show.”

The Fantasy Consultant, Nate Zegura

This will be a show all about Fantasy Football. We are planning to do some “DRAFT SHOWS” to give you the best strategies for YOUR draft. Who will be the big breakout players this year? Who will be a bust? What sleepers should you grab in your later rounds? We will give you the scoop on ALL of this. We will then broadcast live every Sunday morning, and provide you with up to the minute news and fantasy scoop so you are armed with all of the tools on Sunday to win your league.

You will be able to call in, email, chat, text and more. We will also have our shows available here for podcast.
